2008 Volunteer Appreciation Event
November 11, 2008 - WAFC held a happy hour at Lounge 201 to thank all of the volunteers that help make everything happen in 2008. WAFC volunteers Carlos Orr and Tim Herbert ran an Ultimate Clinic at Wilson High School for Hispanic students, which was taught in both English and Spanish. The students picked up the game quickly and the scrimmage afterwards was quite competitive.

2006 - National Park Service Trash Pick-up
Around 35 WAFC players helped pick up trash on National Park Service property covering areas from the Lincoln Memorial up to Haines point. 50+ bags of garbage were hauled away. The NPS provides WAFC with the Polo Fields, JFK Fields, and Anacostia, so this was a way for WAFC to provide a service back to NPS.
